Bodysuits are great but finding one that fits your body just right can be as difficult as finding your perfect swimsuit or pair of jeans. Enter, Knixwear’s new bodysuits. The garment is so body inclusive (with sizes from S to XXL)that they’ve appropriately coined it “the every bodysuit.” Available in three colours (black, beige and passion), each suit has adjustable straps and a bottom closure, similar to the back of a bra, so if you have a longer torso you don’t have to worry about dealing with a perma-wedgie. SMART. Especially for tall women. - Julia McEwen, fashion and beauty director

Find cold comfort by adding a cozy sweater to your fall wardrobe. Why do we love this particular one so much? It’s got a few things going for it. Firstly, the stitching is thick and chunky which just makes it look super cozy. I should note, this has been fact-checked by our staffers because a few of us own it! Also to be noted, it’s not scratchy. For aesthetic reasons, we love the structure the larger acrylic and wool blended yarn gives. Finally, we love the shorter hemline and longer arms, the combo gives it a unique look and lends itself to be the perfect sweater to be layered over a t-shirt or dress. - JM

Without fail, every year, I forget to pick up a pair of gloves when the cold weather hits. Which means that usually, in a moment of desperation, I grab a not-so-warm dollar-store pair that I inevitably lose. Not this year. I’ll be g getting this winterized pair from Canadian brand Kombi. The gloves are lightweight, wind-proof and designed for running around the city—and they have touchscreen technology when you need to check your phone but don’t want to take your mitts off. Perfect. - AD

As we transition into warmer jammies due to cooler nights it’s also the right time to step up our moisturizing game. Consider adding a body serum to your self care regime. What is a body serum you ask? Unlike a body moisturizer that can feel heavy on skin a body serum, much like a facial serum, is lightweight with a finer texture—and dries almost instantly when blended into skin. This new serum from Moroccan Oil uses the brands signature argan oil with antioxidant-rich ingredients such as tusbaki oil to promote firmness, holy basil extra to smooth and vitamin C ester for radiance and strength. When it gets really blistery outside layer this serum under a moisturizer or an oil. - JM

Even though my wardrobe is made up of mostly neutral basics, I sort of hate spending money on these items. But, as I’ve begun to appreciate the building blocks of my wardrobe (over fading trends), I know that it’s better to spend money on things I’ll wear often—think of it as lowering my cost per wear (CPW). Which is why even though I don’t like spending $50 on a turtleneck, I will. Because I know I’ll wear it under summer dresses, tucked into jeans and midi skirts and under my crew neck sweaters all winter long. Plus, when you’re shopping at The Gap you can usually count on a sale. - AD

After a summer of glowing, blemish-free skin (praise hands), I found myself back to regularly scheduled breakout programming come fall. Which meant I needed to get my hands on some concealer quick as a hormonal breakout took over my chin. I was gifted this Laura Mercier option that provides coverage without feeling too thick or drying out my skin—a little goes a long way too. And while it did a great job covering blemishes, I’ve also started using it to cover redness around my nose and a dark spot around my eye too. Though I’d prefer it if my skin calmed down, it’s nice to have a go-to product in my bag just in case it doesn’t. - AD

Any piece of clothing that can be worn in multiple ways is always a good investment in my books. I mean come on, you get completely different looks from the exact same piece! Queue this super trendy double-breasted Glen Plaid trench coat. Not only can you use this as a super cute jacket for a pop-of-pattern to any outfit, but you can wear it as a classy jacket dress that is sure to make you look like the boss babe you are. As seen on our style icon and want-to-be best friend Meghan Markle, the jacket dress trend is going to be all the rage at this year’s work Christmas party. Pair it with some knee-high boots (perhaps kitten-heeled *wink wink*) for a more casual look or some stilettos for any formal event and you’ll be sure to make Meghan proud. - MD

This isn’t a new launch for the French brand, but we love their newest release of deep and dark fall offerings. Haven’t tried the Lancôme Shakers yet? What are you waiting for? These build-able lip colours dry without any streaks or smudges. The formula is a water and oil emulsion which truly delivers on weightless texture without leaving them with that dried out feeling. For a natural just bitten look, dab the cushion on lips and blend out with your finger tip. If you’re looking to double down on the colour, glide the cushion along your lips and wait a minute, then do a second coat. - JM

In case you haven’t heard, boatneck blouses and shirts are in. You can thank the Duchess of Sussex (a.k.a. Meghan Markle) for this trend taking off. From her Givenchy wedding dress to her many more casual appearances, it’s a neckline this royal favours. I’ll be hopping on board the trend, but with a much more casual twist than we see on royalty. This simple sweatshirt gets an upgrade with the wide neck, but will look casually chic with weekend denim. Now if only I could perfect my tendrils like the Duchess too… - Alexandra Donaldson, fashion and beauty editor
