Kathryn Hahn brought a much-needed dose of sunshine to November with her AMA beauty look (and the orange dress certainly helped). Glowing skin a reddish-nude lip and simple eye makeup were great, but we have to say we're smitten with her messy, wavy hair with rocker-inspired curtain bangs. It's a touch French and a touch rock 'n roll—the perfect combo.
Sometimes simple is best. And though we probably wouldn't call Tracee Ellis Ross' burgundy sequinned backless dress simple, her beauty look certainly is a classic. Bright, mascara'd eyes and rich red lips is a combo you just can't go wrong with.
Tessa Thompson's canary yellow dress almost stole the show—but her sculptural waves and monochromatic makeup complete this modern look. Bronze-y red on her lips, cheeks and eyes is an inspired approach to red carpet beauty.
In a bold printed dress and her signature retro waves, Lana Del Rey was a lovely sight at the MTV EMA Awards. Our favourite part of her look is her subtle makeup—bold lashes are tempered by a nude lip and barely-there foundation for a fresh, but intentional look.
Cate's choppy 'do is a style that looks great on just about everyone—plus it's super low-maintenance. But wearing it with a reddish lip and a blue-ish smoky eye puts this red carpet look into bombshell territory. In our minds Cate the great can do no beauty wrong.
There's a lot to love about Bell's look—the statement lashes, the sleek hair, the full brows and that perfect pink lip come to mind. But, it's the blue-ish eyeshadow that really steals the show. It's graphic without being over-the-top, and a great complement to a black dress.
Mila's fresh chop is definitely noteworthy, but we're excited about her classic cat eye look. She perfectly pairs the dramatic eye with subtle blush and lips, making for a classic makeup look.
Proving that hairstyles have no age, Julianne Moore perfects the youthful half bun and manages to make it cool and polished enough for the red carpet. Perfect skin, glam earrings and a touch of gold shadow help of course.
Amal Clooney is no stranger to glam red carpet looks, but we especially love the pairing of a deep side-part with touseled waves. Add a pink-ish berry lip and this low-key hair is suddenly red carpet ready.
Emma Thompson perfectly paired her bright pink suit with a stunning red lip proving that once and for all, sometimes clashing colours are best when you want to make a statement. But it's her hair cut and colour we're particularly smitten with. A short, blond pixie cut with bangs never looked so fresh!
During Paris Fashion Week, L'Oreal put on a special fashion show highlighting its diverse group of spokespeople. That show included 79-year-old Jane Fonda who rocked the runway like a pro. Our favourite part of her look? Those sculpted cheek bones! Note: THIS is how you do subtle contouring.
At 51-years-old Robin Wright looks better than ever. Her radiant skin and barely-there makeup are serious #goals. But it's her new bangs that have caught our eye. Her natural-looking wavy layers are complemented by the youthful choppy fringe—proving that haircuts can be fun at any age.
Though she may be young, Kiernan Shipka (of Mad Men fame) knows the power of a simple beauty look. Groomed brows, glowing skin and a simple, deep-parted ponytail have us swooning.
Can we talk about Mandy Moore's neon pink lip? It's the perfect complement to her understated hair and simple jewellery. This is how you make a beauty statement while remaining timeless.
Proving that beauty brand Glossier isn't just for millennials, Dame Helen Mirren showed up to TIFF rocking some of the brand's bestsellers including Cloud Paint, Generation G and Perfecting Skin Tint. This monochromatic look is stunning.

Claire Foy, known for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth on The Crown, knows that the best way to make blue eyes pop is to go with a complementary lip. Here, she wears a deep berry burgundy stain and wisely opts for red-carpet worthy lashes to complete the look.
Elisabeth Moss is giving us major retro vibes thanks to her Veronica-Lake-esque waves and simple red lip. This classic pairing will never go out of style.
