Best dressed at the 2019 Golden Globes

Emily Blunt

Mary Poppins, I mean Emily Blunt, stunned in this intricate Alexander McQueen dress. We especially love the high neck and the gray palette proves that neutrals don't necessarily mean boring.

Alison Brie

Alison Brie, who’s nominated for her first-ever Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy for her role on the popular Netflix series GLOW looked radiant on the red carpet. She was wearing a stunning pale blue custom Vera Wang gown. What really made it stand out was the exposed jewel encrusted brazier with a delicate organza overlay. We also give her (but more importantly her makeup artist) points for her beautiful makeup.

Nicole Kidman

At the 2019 Globes, Nicole Kidman is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in Destroyer. The iconic 51-year-old actress glistened in a long-sleeved fitted Michael Kors gown covered in thousands of oxblood sequins. We especially loved how the whole look was put together, from the swipe of red lipstick to the fresh and carefree updo and finally her chic ball-shaped clutch. 

Emma Stone

One of our favourite red carpet regulars Emma Stone wore one of her regulars—Louis Vuitton. The simple silhouette gets a dose of glamour thanks to glittery accents and a peachy makeup look.

Gemma Chan

Watching Gemma Chan is so striking, so much so it's like looking at some sort of special effect. You may remember this British born actress for her role of Astrid Young in Crazy Rich Asians which was the highest-grossing romantic comedy in over a decade. We loved her over the top glamorous peacock blue Maison Valentino gown. The front had a centre slit that went to her waist while the train cascaded behind her with a gorgeous bow that sat on top of her shoulder blades. Dramatic, sharp and glamorous, I mean, what more could you ask for on a red carpet?

Julia Roberts

I love a trouser on the red carpet! Julia Roberts looks amazing in simple black trousers and an asymmetrical top with a floor-length train. The fit is perfection, her hair and makeup are understated and elegant and—as always—her smile lights up the night.

Lupita Nyong'o

We can always count on Lupita to wear something fun and interesting. This strapless blue column dress adds the perfect amount of glitz to the award show red carpet, and we especially love that she took a beauty risk by matching her mascara to her dress.

Patricia Clarkson

One of the most vibrant colours we saw on the carpet was worn by the brilliant Patricia Clarkson. The 59-year-old actress attended the event because she’s nominated (and won)  for best supporting actress in the riveting HBO mini-series, Sharp Objects. Her vivid coral dress was from Georges Chakra Couture and her glittering accessories were provided by Harry Winston Jewelry.

Rosamund Pike

Pike, nominated for Best Performance in a Motion Pictures Drama for her role in a Private War as Marie Colvin dressed to win. The 39-year-old actress hit the red carpet in one of the chicest dresses of the evening. The black cut out gown complete with a silver beaded jacket from Givenchy looked elegant, effortless and just plain cool. 

Saoirse Ronan

You can always count on Saoirse Ronan to take something simple and make it completely her own. This dress—with dramatic plunging neckline—looks like draped metal. Luxurious drop earrings add a touch of colour (those green gems!) to contrast with classic red lips.
