UberBOAT comes to Muskoka
Well,
Muskoka just got more relaxing.
Uber is now offering a water taxi service on Lake Joseph and Rosseau over the long weekend.
Uber is a GTA taxi service that you can call with the push of a button. The
Uber app lets you call a taxi that arrives within minutes and then you get to sit back and enjoy this hassle free service. And now you can enjoy hassle free travel on the lake. This is such a great idea for anyone who wants to go to enjoy some beers or
Rhubarb Mint Fizzes while at a
Victoria Day BBQ. You don't have to worry about having a designated driver because you can call the UberBOAT to get you home safely. It's also great if you don't have a boat or a boating license because you can still enjoy a little cruise around the lake. The service costs $1 per minute (minimum fare of $20) and you can have a maximum of five passengers. The best part about Uber is that you can put your credit card number directly into the app. So there's no need to take your wallet along for the boat ride. This is good because water and wallets tend not to mix...just ask anyone who has ever dropped their wallet in the lake or accidentally went swimming with their wallet in their bathing suit pocket. Right now the service is only available over Victoria Day weekend, but they hope to expand the service to more weekends. Hopefully, they will expand to
more lakes too. Maybe Mary Lake in Port Sydney? Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen filmed a movie there and there are lots of nice people who would love this service.
Would you use the UberBOAT service?
