Travel Talk: Peggy's Cove in Winter
I've got this thing for visiting tourist spots out of season. Think
Wasaga Beach in mid-November, empty and desolate, nothing but the ghostly echoes of bouncing beach balls and boisterous sun-bathers. Or
Whistler, British Columbia, at the height of summer, the ski slopes invaded by picnickers and hikers, and empty chair lifts swinging in the wind.

[/caption] So you can imagine how chuffed I was to catch this
live webcam footage of Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia smack in the middle of a cold snowy day in February. Like many Canadians, I've made the trek to this popular East Coast attraction a few times, but always in spring or summer when the place was awash with crowds of tourists. This is my first
"live" glance of Peggy's Cove in winter. It makes me want to go back again, and I may not wait until summer.
