The best place to live in Canada if you're a woman
Well ladies, you might want to think about moving to Quebec City.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives named Quebec City the best Canadian city to live in if you're a woman. The social justice group examined the
gender gap in Canada's 20 largest metropolitan areas. The report looked at how men and women compare in five areas: economic security, leadership, health, personal security and education. The results showed that the best place to be a woman in Canada is Quebec City and the worst is Edmonton.

The city also had the lowest rate of police reported sexual and domestic violence of all the cities the group examined. So why did Edmonton fare so poorly? The study found that there is a huge gap in
employment opportunities between men and women, with 68 per cent of men holding full-time jobs versus only 48 per cent of women. There was also a $21,000
wage gap between men and women. The study is quite long, but incredibly eye-opening. If you don't have time to check out the whole report, here are some cool facts.
Where women earn the most: Ottawa-Gatineau
Where women experience the lowest levels of poverty: Calgary
Where women live the longest: Vancouver
