[/caption] A big thanks to hard-working environmental groups who managed to strike an agreement (after nine years of negotiation) with Canadian forestry companies to hold off on logging in 29 million hectares (just over 70 million acres) of the beautiful Boreal Forest so a plan to stabilize the dwindling number of woodland caribou can be created. Twenty one forest product companies have agreed to cease logging for three years while such a plan can be developed and implemented.
