Well, apparently you have to make 257 sandwiches before you're worthy of a proposal. That's how many sandwiches Stephanie Smith had to make before her boyfriend proposed. Stephanie created a lot of controversy last year after she started her 300 sandwiches blog because her boyfriend told her she was 300 sandwiches away from an engagement ring. Women were outraged that Stephanie thought making sandwiches somehow proved she was "wife material." But, in her defense, she said her boyfriend equates sandwiches with love, it's comparable to kisses or sex for him. So really, it's no different from women using sex to bribe their husbands...sort of. But luckily for Stephanie, her boyfriend proposed after only 257 sandwiches. Because if you round 257 it's 300.  Stephanie says she still plans to make her fiancee those last 43 sandwiches because "he deserves them." Stephanie was obviously thrilled about the proposal, though she's quite upset that she didn't get a manicure before the proposal. She feels her nails look bad in all the engagement ring photos. I would assume after making 257 sandwiches your hands would be quite beat up. So I feel like we can all forgive her for her unkept nails.
