Colon cancer isn't just a disease that strikes older people, more and more young people are being diagnosed with it in Canada. Our Facebook reader Mairi C shared that she was diagnosed with colon cancer at just 27! So don't avoid colonoscopies, especially if you have a family history of the disease. How to make almond milk There was a lot of love this week for homemade food. A lot of people didn't realize you can make your own almond milk. Our Food Editor makes almond milk every week and says she can basically do it with her eyes closed since she's done it so many times.

Chickpea Salad With Lemon Yogurt Dressing Yum! That was what we kept hearing after we posted this chickpea salad as our Recipe of the Day. And we agree, this healthy salad is delicious.
