Make a 3-D Christmas card

What you need
Red and green Bristol board
Red and green yarn
Stick-on decals, jewels and stickers
Craft glue

Instructions
Fold a 12- x 9-inch (30 x 23 cm) piece of Bristol board in half crosswise and draw half a wreath and half a bow.

About 1/2 in (1 cm) in from both edges, trace outline along the inside of the wreath and bow.

Mark dots along your line every 1/2 in (1 cm), and along centre every 1 in (2.5 cm).

Using a darning needle or large safety pin, make a hole through each dot.

Thread green yarn onto needle and knot the end.

Starting at bottom of wreath, bring needle through back of first hole and down through the front of the centre hole. Bring needle up through next hole and down through the front of the centre hole. Do this in little groupings, about 12 in total (see photo).

Thread red yarn onto needle and knot the end.

Starting at bottom of bow, bring needle through back of first hole and down through centre hole. Repeat with remaining holes to make bow shape (see photo).

Decorate with stick-on decals, jewels and stickers as desired.

Cut along inside and outside lines of bow and wreath, leaving 1 1/2 in (4 cm) on each side attached.

Cut out 14- x 11-inch (35 x 28 cm) Bristol board. Decorate the front as desired.

Glue green Bristol board inside red Bristol board, except for the wreath. Fold, matching the folds in the middle.
