Method
Place basil and sugar in cocktail shaker. With muddler or back of wooden spoon, muddle until leaves are bruised and fragrant, about 1 minute. Fill with ice; muddle a few times.Add pineapple juice and vodka; shake vigorously to blend and chill. Strain into martini glass; top with soda water.
