Fill large saucepan with 8 cups (2 L) water. Cover and bring to boil over high heat. Add 1 tsp (5 mL) salt. Add beans, cover and boil until tender-crisp, about 4 minutes.
Place colander in sink; wearing oven mitts, drain beans in colander. Shake colander to remove excess water. Transfer to serving bowl. Add butter, lemon rind and salt ; toss to coat.
