These little loaves work wonders as gifts, but you can also set them out as a sweet afternoon treat or as part of a holiday brunch. For a selection of flavours, make the Chocolate-Pear Loaves and Chestnut Loaves as well and package the trio in a pretty tin.

In large bowl, whisk together sugar, yogurt and eggs; whisk in oil. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; stir into yogurt mixture in 2 additions. Fold in pistachios, lemon zest and lemon juice. Scrape into 6 greased 5-3/4- x 3-1/4-inch (625 mL) mini loaf pans.Bake in 350ºF (180ºC) oven until cake tester inserted in centre comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool in pans on rack for 5 minutes. Transfer to rack; let cool completely.
Topping: Whisk icing sugar with lemon juice; drizzle over loaves. Sprinkle with pistachios.
