In bowl, stir together cereal, apple, almonds (if using), sugar, raisins, salt and cinnamon; pour in milk and 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) water, blending well. Scrape into greased 8-inch (2 L) square glass baking dish.Bake in centre of 350?F (180?C) oven until liquid is absorbed and grains are softened, about 50 minutes. (Make-ahead: Let cool. Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 3 days. Serve warm.)
