What to eat while binge-watching Orange is the New Black
On June 6,
Orange is the New Black is back for season 2! And really, the best way to watch any Netflix show is to binge-watch all the episodes in one sitting. Binge-watching can be exhausting so here is a delicious menu to keep you going for all 13 hours.
Breakfast: A
B.E.A.T sandwich is very appropriate for Orange is the New Black because as Piper quickly learned, if you don't follow prison rules, you get the BEAT down.
Snack: The key to binge-watching is keeping your energy levels up. Which is why you need to snack on these
Chewy Quinoa Bars, packed with protein and fibre. They're also nut-free, which is good for any OINB fans that have a peanut allergy.
Lunch: The prison dining hall is a key set in
Orange is the New Black and you can get a taste of prison dining by eating your lunch off a tray, preferably an orange one. We love these
Pepperoni Pizza Skewers, which you can make ahead of time so you don't have to pause the show to make your lunch.
Drink: To get through the intense moments of OINB, you need a stiff drink. And what's more appropriate for a prison drama than a
Bloody Mary. There certainly will be blood this season after Piper beat up Pennsatucky at the end of season 1. And I wonder if we can expect any more bloody tampon sandwiches this season?
Dinner: Fans of the show will know that real chicken is coveted in the prison. Thankfully, you won't have to leave an important business call to chase after your dinner. Instead you can grill up some
Savoury Chicken Souvlaki Salad. The skewers are definitely prison contraband, so you better hide them under your bunk in case of emergencies.
Dessert: When you come to the end of Season 2, you're going to need some cheering up because you'll have MONTHS to wait before you get to watch Season 3. So bring on the
Sunny-Side Cupcakes.
