How to make baked tortilla chips
Have a few
tortillas that are starting to get stale? Here's how to use them: make baked tortilla chips! These are super easy and quick to put together and can be flavoured in a number of different ways. I like to use
corn tortillas and serve them with a
classic guacamole but these will work with any kind of dip you have on hand. Although it's dead simple, the addition of homemade chips always makes this feel like a
special treat. If you're planning on entertaining during the summer months to come, this is a great recipe to add to your culinary repertoire.
{1} Cut 3 5-inch/12 cm wide corn tortillas in half.
{2} Cut each half into 4 wedges.
{3} Toss chips with 1 tsp of olive oil; sprinkle with 1/2 tsp chili powder and a generous pinch of salt (or any other seasoning of your liking)
{4} Spread chips in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in a 400
°F (200
°F) oven until golden and crispy on both sides, about 8 minutes.
