Ingredients

Method

In bowl, combine flaxseeds, Date Purée, maple syrup, egg white, cinnamon, fleur de sel, and ground chipotle pepper, if using. Add pepitas, oats and chocolate chips; toss to coat well.

Preheat oven to 350°F; grease 12-cup muffin pan. Divide mixture evenly in bottoms of prepared muffin cups; press down using back of spoon to compact. Bake until edges begin to brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Place pan on wire rack and let cool completely before unmoulding. (Make-ahead: Can be stored in airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 2 months.)

Did You Know?

Compared to store-bought granola bars, these rounds contain 2 to 3 times less sugar per serving. One of the best ways to maintain stable energy levels is to avoid large blood-sugar spikes caused by high sugar intake.
